Through extensive and updated staff training, CEMIC guarantees high-quality medical care. CEMIC professional staff is constantly involved in teaching and research.

The following are some of the services offered:
• Not only does CEMIC aim at highlighting the figure of the primary physician within the family and social group, but it also projects in him the main objective of medical care: the improvement and preservation of the health of each person, his family and the community.
• A round the clock home emergency medical care.
• Emergency medical care in the outskirts of Buenos Aires, in the provinces and in neighboring countries.
• Emergency wards in our Academic Medical Center, Las Heras and Saavedra Headquarters.
• Round the clock home care with clinicians and pediatricians during the whole year.
• Hospital amissions to Medicine, Surgery and Obstetrics.
• Intensive Care Unit (Adult, Pediatric and Neonatal)
• Pediatric Hospitalization Unit.
• Coronary Care Unit.
• Renal Dialysis Unit.
• Hospital admissions for kidney, pancreas and bone marrow transplants.
• Palliative Care Unit.
• CEMIC physicians from different specialties provide medical care in the
outpatient departments.
• Occupational medicine, hygiene and safety.
• Health coverage provided by job-related risks insurance companies.
• Full dentistry care: emergencies and programmed care.
• Additional treatments for physical, cardiovascular and neuro-psychological
rehabilitation, pain treatment, etc.
• Complementary diagnostic studies such as lab tests, x-rays and different
complex examinations.

CEMIC aims at facilitating patient access to its high-quality medical centers.
The most prevalent cases, check-ups and routine tests are referred to the outpatient facilities at the Academic Medical Center in Las Heras and Saavedra Headquarters; to the outpatient offices of the following medical centers: Belgrano, Caballito, Monserrat, Palermo, San Isidro, and to the doctors’ private offices and rented centers all over the country.

Serious cases or those requiring more sophisticated technology are admitted to the Academic Medical Center (Las Heras Headquarters, at Av. Las Heras 2900 and Saavedra Headquarters, at Av. Galván 4102, Buenos Aires). The latter hospital, where the Instituto Universitario CEMIC stands, is currently fully expanding its facilities. In our hospital and medical centers, the family physician, who has assisted patients for a long time, counsels and guides his patients about the most serious conditions and consults with different specialists, as required.

CEMIC came into existence by the VISION of its founders, Dr. Norberto Quirno and a group of disciples and friends. As a result of this vision, CEMIC has become a leading institution in the field of health care.
